Rob qualified at Manchester in 1986. He has been at Portner Pittack Dental Practice since 1988. His patients enjoy excellent service and high standards of dentistry. Whilst enthusiastic about his work, Rob is both gentle and calm.
He has a special interest in placing and restoring implants, with over twenty years' experience in the field. Rob also carries out bone augmentation techniques and sinus lifts, and accepts implant referrals from other dentists. Rob’s initial basic training for implant treatment was in 1991. Undertaking further advanced restorative and implant courses at the Eastman Dental Institute. He has completed numerous advanced implant courses in the UK and abroad. Rob was also awarded an MSc in Restorative Dental Practice from the University of London; which included original research into peri-implantitis.
He is a mentor with the Association of Dental Implantology, on the editorial board of Implant Dentistry Today, has published several articles and also occasionally lectures nationally and internationally.
Rob is a member of many professional groups which reflect his interests in dentistry, including the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the International Team for Implantology, the Association of Dental Implantology, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the British Academy for Restorative Dentistry and the British society of Endodontics. He has also been Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary for Alpha Omega International Fraternity UK; a worldwide organisation representing over 15,000 dentists. It is dedicated to the advancement of dental education and research. It encourages excellence and professionalism. It also has a large philanthropic arm supporting dental projects in the U.K. and abroad.
